Description
The purpose of the Hemp Museum,in the hamlet of Castel San Felice, which is part of the radar of the eco-museum network coordinated by Cedrav, is to study, maintain and enhance traditional knowledge and the historic and anthropological heritage connected with hemp cultivation in Valnerina.
The first floor is dedicated entirely to the cultivation, grinding and transformation cycle of hemp, traditionally cultivated throughout Valnerina exclusively for the production of fabric and rope. The second floor is devoted to the preparatory work for weaving and warping, as well as to the textile collection.
The didactic workshop containing manual looms is open for bookings by individuals, groups and schools. Guided tours are available at a charge.

Extraordinary openings can be effected in concomitance of particular cultural demonstrations
Thursday and Saturday: laboratories of embroidery, weaving, sweater, crotchet hook and felt
Entrance fees: € 2.00 or free admission for children under the 12 years and adults above the 65 years
Facilities: Service of driven visits and turned educational-didactic runs both to adults and to the schools of every order and degree
